Sustainable Development at Lund Stem Cell Center

Advancing the frontiers of stem cell science with innovative ideas, diverse perspectives, and sustainable practices

At Lund Stem Cell Center, we are committed to advancing stem cell science while keeping our planet and future generations in mind.

Integrating sustainable practices into every aspect of our center is not only about reducing our environmental impact. It is also about doing our part as scientists. From research to daily operations, we strive to make sustainable choices that align with the UN (United Nations) Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

Our belief is that sustainability is not an “optional extra” but an integral part of our Center's success. We are actively promoting sustainable practices in research projects, optimizing our operations to minimize waste and energy consumption, and developing infrastructure that supports green science.

By leading by example, we hope to inspire the wider scientific community to prioritize sustainability. Together, we can create a research environment that succeeds scientifically and contributes to a better future for all.

Organizing Sustainable Meetings and Events

We believe that every small action contributes to a greener future. That's why we encourage the organization of sustainable events that prioritize eco-friendly choices. This includes choosing certified sustainable venues, promoting green transportation, and ways to reduce water usage, energy consumption, and waste.
