Currently Under Development

Welcome to the Lund Stem Cell Center Pre-GMP Facility, a dedicated support center for developers of Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs) at Lund University.

About ATMPs in Lund:

ATMPs, defined by the European Medicine Agency (EMA) as "medicines based on genes, tissues, or cells for human use," open new frontiers in medical research, offering new solutions for challenging medical conditions.

In Sweden, Lund is a leading force in ATMP development. Data from the Sweden Bio pipeline highlights Lund as the second-largest hub, following Stockholm, for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) actively engaged in ATMP work. Over 23 ATMP projects in various stages are underway at Lund Stem Cell Center, several already evolving into successful biotech companies.

Our Mission:

At the Pre-GMP Facility, we're committed to fostering innovation and collaboration within the Lund ATMP community. Our facility will provide expertise, advanced equipment, and process optimization to streamline the transition from early-stage development to GMP compliant manufacturing, reducing time and costs, and empowering scientists to bring their therapies to patients more efficiently.

Stay updated on our facility's progress and explore our website for information about Lund Stem Cell Center, our research endeavors, and valuable resources to support your ATMP development journey. We look forward to serving you soon at the Pre-GMP Facility and working together to push the boundaries of medical innovation, transforming the future of healthcare through ATMPs!
