Lund Stem Cell Center FACS Facility
Lund Stem Cell Center FACS Core Facility is a state-of-the-art multi-colour flow cytometry facility included in the strategic research area Stem Therapy. The FACS Core Facility is located at BMC B12 and serves all researchers at Lund University and others.
Flow cytometry is one of the major methods in the research of cell populations. It has major advantages such as the simultaneous detection of a wide range of parameters that enables the understanding of diversity among seemingly similar cells. The ability to enumerate very large number of cells in a relatively short period of time provides experiments with reliability. The possibility to do single cell sorting makes it a strong tool for single cell analysis in downstream applications.
At the facility we currently have four cell sorters (the BD FACS AriaIIu SORP, BD FACS AriaIII, BD FACS Melody and BD FACS Symphony S6) and three analysers (the BD LSRII SORP, BD LSR Fortessa SORP and BD LSR Fortessa X20).
The FACS Core Facility is supported by the Swedish Government Initiative for Strategic Research Areas - Stem Therapy. Please remember to acknowledge the FACS Core Facility in publications, whenever you have used our equipment or expertise.
