Our Organization

Research School in Stem Cell Biology

The Research School in Stem Cell Biology supports a collaborative research environment, enabling interdisciplinary interaction, knowledge exchange, and professional development across the Lund Stem Cell Center.

Established in 2006 as a collaborative effort between the Hemato‑Linné research environment and the Lund Stem Cell Center, the Research School in Stem Cell Biology (RSSCB) has played an important role in advancing stem cell research and education at Lund University. Today, the Research School is supported by the Lund Stem Cell Center and StemTherapy, the Strategic Research Area for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine.

As part of its organisational structure, the Research School is supported by an Advisory Committee, which provides strategic guidance to its activities and development. Membership of the Advisory Committee is reviewed on an annual basis.

The Advisory Committee:

  • provides strategic guidance to support and strengthen the mission of the Research School
  • oversees the organisation and performance of the Research School in an advisory capacity
  • contributes to discussions on long‑term priorities, structure, and development
  • supports, and where possible contributes to, Research School events and activities

Through these contributions, the Advisory Committee helps shape the overall direction of the Research School and supports the development of training and career development opportunities for students and researchers.
