Bulk RNA sequencing data analysis
Aim
The aim of this workshop is to provide participants with the necessary skills to understand and interpret RNA sequencing datasets. Participants will learn how to process, analyze and visualize datasets in a biological meaningful way. After this workshop, participants should be able to assess the quality of their data, analyze it and understand advantages, limitations and challenges while working on these datasets.
Topics include
- Understanding sequencing libraries
- Quality analysis of raw sequencing data
- Alignment and quantification
- Differential gene expression analysis
- Visualization of results
- Applications of RNA-sequencing (identifying splicing, isoforms, circRNA, SNPs)
The detailed schedule will be distributed to accepted participants prior to the start of the workshop.
Number of participants
5-8
Entry requirements
- Participants are expected to use their own computers.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and R
This workshop is organised by the Research School in Stem Cell Biology in collaboration with the StemTherapy Bioinformatics Core Facility. Please be aware that the number of participants is limited. Participation in the workshop is free of charge for members of the Research School in Stem Cell Biology.
