Who Can Apply?

Mobility Requirement

Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply, but must comply with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie mobility rule:

• You cannot have lived or worked in the country of your future host institution for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the application deadline.
• Exceptions apply for:
  • Mandatory national service
  • Refugee status procedures under the Geneva Convention

Education

The programme is designed for doctoral students with diverse academic backgrounds who want to contribute to the future of regenerative medicine and advanced therapies and is open to applicants from a wide range of fields including:

• Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
• Engineering and Technology
• Law & Policy
• Health Economics

A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is required by the start of the fellowship. Additionally:

• The diploma must be issued before the fellowship begins.
• Applicants must not already hold a PhD.
• Career breaks (e.g., parental leave, illness, military service) are considered for eligibility.

If your Master’s is still in progress, please include in your application:

• A recent transcript of records.
• A signed statement from your university confirming expected completion.

Project-Specific Requirements (Project 13)

For this position advertised in Special Call 1B, applicants must demonstrate strong hands-on research experience in at least two of the following areas:

• Gene and/or cell therapy
• Pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs/ESCs)
• NK cell biology
• Immunology and autoimmune diseases

Applicants must clearly describe their relevant research experience, technical skills, and key achievements in their application. Candidates who do not provide evidence of experience in at least two of these areas will not be considered eligible for the position.
