StemTherapy Funding Initiatives
StemTherapy (ST) supports scientific progress, collaboration, and translation through a coordinated portfolio of internal funding initiatives. Together, these initiatives provide flexible and targeted support across career stages and research phases, from publication-ready studies to long-term international collaboration and translational development.

The StemTherapy funding initiatives are designed to:
- Accelerate scientific output, impact, and visibility
- Support progression toward therapeutic and clinical application
- Enable ambitious and innovative research directions
- Facilitate strategic international collaboration
- Promote adoption of advanced technologies
- Strengthen integration of visiting expertise within ST
Each initiative is implemented through individual calls for proposals. Specific details including eligibility, budget, evaluation criteria, and timeline, are announced separately for each call.
StemTherapy Funding Initiatives:
Paper‑Boost Grants
Supports StemTherapy projects close to publication in high‑impact journals that require additional experimental work or short‑term personnel support to address reviewer comments in order to resubmit.
Funding: up to 500,000 SEK

StemTherapy Excellence Projects
Supports scientifically ambitious research with the potential to position StemTherapy and the Lund Stem Cell Center at the forefront of stem cell and regenerative medicine research internationally.
Funding: 2,000,000 SEK per year for 2 years

Supports the establishment of new international collaborations or the formalization of existing collaborations with strategically important research environments.
