Stem Cell Stars Seminar: Konrad Hochedlinger

Come join us for the Stem Cell Stars Seminar featuring Konrad Hochedlinger, Principal Investigator at the Harvard University Stem Cell Institute, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital in the USA.
The Hochedlinger lab investigates the role stem cells play in normal development and disease. They focus on embryonic stem cells and the genes that control their pluripotency, or ability to give rise to all cell types of the body. The lab uses cell culture and animal models to study the origins of stem cells, their similarities and differences, and their role in tumor formation. The ultimate goal is to expand adult stem cells and convert one cell type into another for therapeutic purposes, as well as to target tumor cells at their roots for more effective cancer treatment.
Following the seminar, we invite you to network with fellow scientists and researchers at our Lund Stem Cell Center after-work mingle!
