Stem Cell Stars Seminar: Chronic myeloid leukemia - We are not yet done

Join us for this afternoon session on 17 June with Dr. Michael Deininger, a leader in the field of blood malignancies!
Lund Stem Cell Center is excited to welcome Michael Deininger, MD, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer Versiti Blood Research Institute based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA and a leader in blood malignancies, at our next Stem Cell Star Seminar.
As a clinician-scientist trained in hematology/oncology as well as molecular biology, Dr. Deininger’s scientific interests have focused on the biology and therapy of leukemia and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) for more than 20 years. In particular, his efforts have played an important role in multiple clinical studies of MPNs, including chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) that contributed to the establishment of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) based therapies as the standard of care. Today the Deininger Lab focuses on novel therapeutic targets in leukemia, novel drugs to overcome TKI resistance in CML and other MPNs, and to understand the role of bone marrow microenvironment for leukemogenesis.
