National ATMP Research School Course: Patient access and health economics aspects of ATMPs
Ensuring that advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) reach patients involves more than scientific success; it also requires navigating complex health economic, reimbursement, and access pathways.
To support early‑career researchers in understanding these critical aspects, the Swedish National ATMP Research School is opening registration for its upcoming course: Patient access and health economics aspects of ATMPs, hosted by the University of Gothenburg.
This one‑week course (16–20 November 2026), delivered in a combined in‑person and online format, introduces participants to the key principles that influence patient access to ATMPs. The course places a strong focus on health economics, decision‑making processes within healthcare systems, and how evidence is generated and assessed to support reimbursement and pricing of advanced therapies.
Through expert‑led sessions, interactive discussions, and applied perspectives, participants gain insight into how scientific innovation, policy, and economics intersect, and how these factors shape the real‑world availability of ATMPs.
The course is open to doctoral students and recent graduates in relevant fields across Sweden. Priority is given to students enrolled in the National ATMP Research School, with a limited number of additional places available.
Registration deadline: 21 April 2026
